lilla sillen

Uti Östersjöns mörka djup,
simma' lilla sillen, han var så sjuk
Han hade flunsan som han fått
under isen
Han kämpa' tappert
men kom aldrig fram

(not overly well known swedish childrens song)

translation:

Out in the baltic sea's dark depths
swam the little herring, he was so ill
He had the flu that he had got
under the ice
He fought bravely
but never arrived

No this is as happy as it gets in Sweden. Actually grrlfrnd recorded the song with the children she taught for a couple of weeks. The dramatic tension is heightened quite a bit when the words pass through the air holes of tens of children's throats. I'll put it on the site when we get it.

I won't give away to much but the song represents some work related problems of mine that have surfaced lately. Talking about dramatic tension!

We'll speak soon Ronnie!

Wow, well it's pretty sad that it doesnt get any happier in Sweden. What would happen if Anna learnd the children some of the songs you and I sang when we were young? How about 3 little children where sitting on a fence ... laladi lalada ... I wonder ... what would happen.... Would Sweden suddenlu submurge in the oceam, would winter suddenly last 4 months longer ... what would happen ... You know, I think the only thing that would change would be the childrens faces, a smile would appear on the face of every child. That isn't bad is it? Hmmm, let me sleep on it. Mabye tomorrow my head is clear to think.
