I'm confused. I read through the startup school 2006 notes and there was an odd sentence there (at the bottom somewhere). It's not the first of april, though it's the first of may soon. A joke? Surely. The statement makes perfect sense though. Fact checking? Know your sources? No, that might ruin the fun. Besides, this is the internet:

Reddit: Stick with Lisp.
Yeah, I was there, the guy from reddit said that in answer to a quesion about what would they have done differently in their startup, and he was joking.
Yeah, it was definitely a joke.
I heard him say it and I typed it into those notes and I talked to him later. He wasn't joking.
It wasn't a big deal, though. He'd be pretty happy with either Python or Lisp, I think he just felt that in retrospect they didn't have any compelling reason to go with Python.
Truth at last then. Thanks. Pity it's always a bit more boring than in the papers.
